TAL

TAL stands for Transaction Application Language. This programming language is
used on Tandem computers under Guardian OS. If you use an ATM, you transaction
will probably be processed by a TAL interface program or something else. Any
way, I copied this examples exactly from the
TAL Programmers's Guide: (I really dont like it very much....)

?NOLIST,SOURCE $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.EXTDECS (CLOSE, INITIALIZER
  OPEN,WRITE,MYTERM)
?LIST

PROC myproc MAIN;
 BEGIN
 INT termname[0:11];
 INT filename;
 STRING buffer [0:79];

 CALL INITIALIZER;
 CALL MYTERM (termname);
 CALL OPEN (termname,filenum);
 CALL WRITE(filenum,"Hello World",12);
 CALL CLOSE(out_file_number);
END;
